Romans 11:13, "For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentles..."
Philippians 3:5-6, "circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the Law, blameless."
I Timothy 1:13, "although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man..."

-For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ
-for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes
-for the Jew first also for the Greek
-for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith
The book of Romans: The centrality and seriousness of the gospel!!!
Elements of the gospel: God, mankind, sin, wrath & judgment, the Law, Jesus Christ, grace, faith, salvation, justification, reconciliation, sanctification, the Holy Spirit, God's sovereign and eternal plan.
1-read the book of Acts right along side the book of Romans
2-beware of "micro-focusing"
3-Ask God to teach you/show you each part, as it fits into the whole - the story, your faith, life!

2-to address the problem of spiritual disunity -
3-to build his relationship with the church in Rome

Romans 1:11-12, "that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established--that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
"Colossians 1:9-10, "that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God"
