Romans 11:13, "For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentles..."

Philippians 3:5-6, "circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the Law, blameless."

B) What? - It's all summed up in Romans 1:16-17

-For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ

-for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes

1-read the book of Acts right along side the book of Romans
2-beware of "micro-focusing"
3-Ask God to teach you/show you each part, as it fits into the whole - the story, your faith, life!

C) Why? -

1-to instruct and encourage

2-to address the problem of spiritual disunity -

3-to build his relationship with the church in Rome

Some objectives for working through Romans!

"That we can dig deeper, so we can grow up stronger, and live our lives fuller in Christ!"

Romans 1:11-12, "that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established--that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

"Colossians 1:9-10, "that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God"
