-Fear causes two common responses: Fight or Flight!
-Fear can affect you physically in a negative way -
-causes you to try to control circumstances, people around you, even God!
-causes you to avoid negative circumstances or people, especially conflicts!
-causes you to delay making important decisions in a timely fashion!
-causes you to procrastinate from doing important tasks on time!
-causes you to become confused or to lose focus in your life!
-causes you to push away people who genuinely love you and want to help you!
-can prevent you from speaking up in conversations -
-can stop you from trying something new -
-hinders you from building healthy relationships -
-There is a godly fear - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom!
-There is a healthy fear - If I get too close to the edge of the cliff...
What is the answer to our fears?
-First, we must face our fears!
-The most sure and powerful answer to your fears is God's love for you, His provision for you, His protection over you, His peace to you, and His purpose for your life!
-I John 4:18, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
-God does not want you to live your life in fear!!
